Summary
Trustees reviewed sewer-plant debris removal costing $1,169, sewer root removal at one residence for $400, and a Flow Rite quote of $1,600/year for four years to televise and clean lines; the board approved moving a volleyball post so The Vault can use the court under a user-responsibility agreement.

At the July 8 Village meeting, maintenance staff reported several recent operational items. The sewer plant required debris cleanup at a cost of $1,169, and roots were removed from a line serving Jeremy Gundersen's house at a cost of $400. The board reviewed a Flow Rite quote of $1,600 annually for four years to televise and clean sewer lines but requested additional information before deciding on that contract.
Staff reported that Well #1 had new piping and a pump installed, allowing chlorine-residual sampling inside the building rather than at a ground valve. The Clerk reported contacting the DNR to request trimming of trees overhanging May Street and was awaiting a response.
Trustees also discussed use of the Village Hall volleyball court. If one post is moved to regulation distance, a local group called The Vault would provide the net, maintain the sand during the season and use the facility for tournaments. The board recommended drafting an agreement that releases the Village from liability and requires tournament organizers to clean up garbage. Trustee Bob Rueckheim moved and Trustee Linda Young seconded approving the post move and The Vault's use; the motion carried.
The board asked staff for additional information on the Flow Rite proposal and did not commit to the four-year cleaning agreement at this meeting.
