The Village of Rockland board met Dec. 10, 2024, and approved routine business including minutes, the treasurer’s report and voucher payments.
Trustee Linda Young moved to approve the Nov. 12 and Dec. 3, 2024 minutes and the treasurer’s report; Trustee Randy Rowell seconded both motions and the board carried them. The board approved payment of village checks #13479–13506 totaling $221,176.87 on a motion by Trustee Randy Rowell, seconded by Trustee Derek Millin.
The minutes record a maintenance update noting the plow truck and a red truck are ready for winter, and that President Jon Hohlfeld will obtain a quote for a village camera system. The minutes say the village attorney is reviewing what is transcribed as the “Birdd agreement”; no further action on that agreement was recorded. The minutes also set the annual TIF Joint Review Board meeting for Dec. 17 at 10:00 a.m.
Board members discussed election preparations: the minutes note one vacant seat and that up to two trustees may not seek re‑election; the caucus date to elect officers is set for Jan. 7, and the village will post notices on its Facebook page and website.
