Rockdale caucus closes nominations; ballot positions drawn for two trustee candidates

President Alicia Hynes called a caucus at 6:30 p.m. to accept nominations for Village Trustee. A motion to close nominations was made by Trustee Breah Klemp and seconded by Trustee Joe Leto; the motion passed. Ballot positions were then drawn, listing Breah Klemp as position 1 and Joe Leto as position 2.
President Hynes moved and Trustee Sarah Halvorson seconded a motion to close the caucus at 6:34 p.m.; the motion carried 5-0. The nominees met immediately with Clerk-Treasurer Ann E. Gerlich to receive a written notice of nomination, complete a Receipt of Notice of Nomination, and receive the Declaration of Candidacy and Campaign Finance Registration Statement. The clerk-treasurer advised that completed forms are due back within five days of the notice of nomination.
