Rockland board approves payments, orders park bleachers and records trustee resignation

In a maintenance update recorded in the minutes, staff reported that concrete for new bleachers will be poured next week and recommended ordering three 21‑foot Row bleachers from Belson Outdoors. The minutes note staff will remove the village's green bleachers once the new units arrive and will conduct a walkthrough of new park additions with contractor Wieser Brothers next week. The maintenance report also flagged the need to begin searching for replacement options for the village's 2005 Chevrolet pickup and to explore a trade‑in on a lawn mower.
Under old business, the board noted that the dog park sign had been installed and that a planned fire truck purchase will not proceed at this time while the fire department updates its bylaws. The minutes also record that a thank‑you should be sent to Stella Jones for donated railroad ties used as a parking barrier.
In new business the board recorded that Trustee Derek Millin has resigned, creating a vacancy on the village board. The board also requested agendas and minutes be distributed the week before meetings so members have time to review materials. The Board of Review was called to order and adjourned until a later date because LaCrosse County had balancing issues related to the Homefield Assessment; Trustee Seth Hemmersbach moved to adjourn the Board of Review and Trustee Penny Stock seconded.
The meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m.; the adjournment motion was made by Trustee Bob Rueckheim and seconded by Trustee Linda Young.
