At its April 13 meeting the Village of Roberts board approved several local-service motions and addressed a pending large equipment payment.
Trustees approved a street extension for the Sidetrack Saloon during Good Neighbor Days. Trustee Jeff Vogt moved to approve the extension and Trustee Janelle Beal seconded; the motion carried. The board also approved municipal Clean-up Days to be held at GFL with an adjusted cost; Trustee Brian Tremblay moved to approve and Beal seconded.
On a separate item the board discussed the first scheduled payment on a new firetruck — staff indicated the first payment would be $279,000. Trustees voted to postpone any payment until the village had a formal invoice (motion to postpone by Tremblay; seconded by Beal). The board also voted against donating funds to a high school baseball scoreboard (motion by Vogt; seconded by Tremblay), citing the school’s own budgeted process.
These local decisions were procedural and implemented by simple motions recorded in the minutes; trustees authorized staff to proceed with event permitting and the Clean-up Days logistics and to hold off on disbursing firetruck funds pending invoicing.
