Library board shifts contingency, approves transformer pad and mural spending

Separately, the board authorized spending from a $10,000 Carnegie Foundation donation to fund a mural in the children’s wing. Children’s librarian Linda Kramer proposed hiring local muralist Katie Lang to create an approximately 10x10 mural; Bell said the estimate for the work is about $3,700 and recommended placing a $4,000 cap. "We would put a cap on it — up to $4,000 on this mural project," a board member motioned; the motion passed.
