Board approves permit and fee variance for Truth in Jazz free concert on Aug. 18

Jeff Camp, president of Truth in Jazz, asked the board to waive the certificate-of-liability requirement for a free concert the group plans to offer to the community on Aug. 18. "We are asking for the certificate of liability to be waived… this is just a free concert we wanna give to the community," Camp said.
Staff recommended treating the request like prior free events and applying the same pavilion and restroom access support the municipal band receives. A board member moved to approve the permit and associated fee variance for Truth in Jazz; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously.
The board noted the event will be a free community concert and did not attach additional conditions to the permit approval.
