Enola Scrivens, representing the University Extension, told the Maysville Board of Aldermen on March 5, 2025, that the Extension offers about 339 programs and that roughly 100 children participate in the local 4‑H program.
Scrivens said three Extension specialists live in DeKalb County and noted that the Extension office has a meeting room available to community members. She invited board members and residents to an open house next week and said the Extension holds monthly meetings on the first Monday of each month, which the city was invited to attend.
The remarks were given as an informational presentation during the board’s regular meeting and no board action on Extension programming was taken that evening.
