Village staff reported several finance and administration items at the April 8 meeting. CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is nearing completion of the 2023 audit and expects the final report around May. Reconciliation of unclaimed funds for the village is complete; wastewater reconciliation is still in progress.
Tonna Claussen reported that the Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) denied the village’s request to share omitted taxes for 2022 and 2023; the board cannot move forward on that issue until the Board of Review acts. The board also discussed the early termination of the village’s Payment Service Network (PSN) contract; President Jason Krultz will review the contract and discuss options with staff.
The village website update was reported as close to completion by mid-April. The board approved transfer and payment of bills later in the meeting.
