North Charleston welcomes president of Bremen State Parliament to city council chamber

The North Charleston City Council welcomed Madame Ante Gautier, president of the Bremen State Parliament (Germany), who visited the council chamber to discuss potential transatlantic collaboration.
Ryan Johnson introduced Gautier, noting Bremen is both a city and a state in Germany and highlighting shared attributes between Bremen and the Charleston–North Charleston metropolitan area, including port activity and advanced industries. Gautier thanked the council and described common ground in logistics, aerospace and automotive sectors, expressing a desire to build partnerships.
"We can build on these common grounds, so let's continue getting to know one another and look for further connections and opportunities for collaboration," Gautier said. The visit was presented as a step toward strengthening international ties and exchanging ideas on economic development and trade.
Council members thanked Gautier for traveling to North Charleston and said they looked forward to continued cooperation.
