HMIS report: June snapshot shows 3,108 people experiencing homelessness; 132 housed in month

Kelly, speaking for HMIS, said the community's data system recorded 3,108 individuals experiencing homelessness in June, comprising 2,604 households and 209 families. Kelly said the system also recorded housing exits during June totaling 132 individuals (104 households that included 20 families and 24 children, and 84 adult-only households). Over the past 12 months the HMIS dataset included 13,352 unique individuals and 1,839 people moved into housing.
Kelly noted HUD had posed initial questions about PIT numbers and HMIS had responded; the community is awaiting HUD certification before releasing final PIT totals. She also highlighted top-performing agencies for housing exits that month (Operation Stand Down, Room in the Inn, Oasis Center) and said the HMIS network is expanding with new agencies onboarding.
What happens next: HMIS staff expect HUD certification and publication of PIT figures shortly and will continue onboarding additional agencies to improve data coverage.
