The bills & claims resolution was introduced by Councilman Dierkes and seconded by Councilman Rinaldo; roll call recorded ayes from Dierkes, Matejek, Pacifico, Rinaldo, Van Deusen (by phone) and Wass. The resolution authorizes the mayor, council president, administrator and treasurer to sign and deliver warrants for payment when funds are available.
Council also discussed several administrative items that will return as formal actions at future meetings: appointment of volunteer firefighters Christopher Edmonson and Igor Santos (background checks cleared), amending Resolution 74‑2025 to raise the professional‑services contract threshold from $25,000 to $35,000, and approval of raffle applications from Our Lady of Lourdes Church and Highlander Booster Club. The borough adopted a resolution to meet in closed session to discuss personnel as permitted by the Open Public Meetings Act; public disclosure of those discussions will be made when matters are resolved. The public session adjourned to closed session at 8:03 p.m., and the meeting was unanimously adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
