The Gerald Board of Aldermen unanimously approved the citys mid-year financial report covering Jan. 1 through June 30, 2024, at a special meeting July 25 and directed the city clerk to publish the report in the local newspaper.
The meeting opened at 5:15 PM at Gerald City Hall. Mayor Angela Koepke led the Pledge of Allegiance and the clerk conducted roll call; Aldermen Corey Novotney (board president), Kyle Guerrant and Cary Parker were listed as present. City staff on the record included City Administrator Nick Grube and City Clerk Shelley Smythe. Several city officials were noted as absent in the minutes.
Alderman Corey Novotney moved to accept the agenda; Alderman Kyle Guerrant seconded. The motion carried with all aldermen present voting "aye." The Board then reviewed the Profit & Loss Budget vs. Actual for January through June and held discussion on the mid-year financials.
Alderman Cary Parker moved to accept the mid-year financials for Jan. 1 through June 30, 2024, and to allow the city clerk to post the report in the paper; Alderman Guerrant seconded. According to the meeting minutes, all aldermen present voted "aye," and the motion carried.
The Board noted its next regular scheduled meeting is Aug. 8, 2024, at 6:30 PM. With no further business, Alderman Novotney moved to adjourn, Alderman Guerrant seconded, and the meeting adjourned at 5:52 PM.
