The Grain Valley Board of Aldermen convened a Regular Session by Zoom on Aug. 12, 2024. Mayor Mike Todd called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.; City Clerk Jamie Logan recorded a quorum with Aldermen Brian Bray, Tom Cleaver, Rick Knox, Darren Mills, Ryan Skinner and Kyle Sole present.
A consent agenda that included minutes from July 8 and July 29 and the July 22 accounts payable was approved after Alderman Ryan Skinner moved and Alderman Darren Mills seconded the motion. The Board then approved two separate measures: a liquor license for Dollar General Store #30163 and Resolution No. R24-46, authorizing the city to contract with Heartland Traffic Services, Inc. for pavement markings.
There were no items listed under new business, presentations, or public hearings, and department heads reported no items for this meeting. Alderman Brian Bray thanked the fair board for its Friday food trucks during the Board comments. The meeting was adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
