What was said: "In the last month, we've had 2 police patrol cars totaled. And so we are receiving about $55,000 from the insurance company," a staff member said. "Those cars are averaging anywhere between 28 and $31,000," the staff member added when discussing replacement prices.
Next steps: Staff will proceed to purchase one vehicle through state contract procurement and will return to council or follow administrative purchasing procedures if a second purchase requires additional budget authority.
