Ferrelview trustees review mobile-home inspections, consider ICC code-book purchases and schedule Earth Day cleanup

Building Commissioner Grant Lewton reported inspections at Ferrelwood Mobile Home Park found only minor items — erosion control, GFCI outlet installation and skirting repairs — and noted pictures and an invoice had been submitted for work at specific lots.
Mr. Lewton recommended purchasing updated building and electrical code books from the International Code Council to ensure the village enforces current codes; City Administrator April Baxter said the 2018 Building Code Redline Edition costs about $285 and the 2017 National Electrical Code about $296 and that a 2026 budget resolution might be needed to cover the purchases.
Under new business, the board reviewed guardrail damage on 1st Street and discussed a suggestion by Mr. Damm to place a large protective boulder near the stop sign. There were no reported accidents at the location.
Ms. Baxter told the board she had sent the Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ service-line notice on 12/31/2026 to customers who had not returned service-line questionnaires. The board discussed automatic State of Missouri extended liquor-sales hours for the World Cup period, noted the change would affect only one business and agreed to take no action to opt out (no resolution was passed). The board scheduled the Earth Day community cleanup for the weekend of April 24–26, 2026.
The board approved payment of monthly bills and adjourned at 6:31 PM.
