Denise Haskamp, representing the Tree Board, told the Board of Aldermen on Jan. 13 that the board received a grant from Howard Electric to fund a streetscape project. The project calls for planting 16 trees along Highway 240 on the west approach into Fayette to improve the corridor’s appearance.
The presentation outlined the goal to beautify the community gateway; no formal council action was required or taken on the grant award during the meeting. Staff and the Tree Board will coordinate placement and any required permits or utility clearances before planting.
