At their Oct. 22 meeting, the Queenstown Commissioners approved several routine administrative and financial items. Town Clerk Aaron Horney presented fund balances: General Fund $364,885.62; Water/Sewer Fund $57,373.76; ARPA Fund $592,234.48. Commissioners agreed to move $225,000 from the General Fund into a six-month term certificate of deposit.
The commission voted to approve meeting minutes: Commissioner Tom Willis moved to approve the Oct. 8, 2025 regular meeting minutes as written; President Al Hardee seconded. The vote was recorded as 2 aye, 0 nay, with Commissioner Bryon Callahan abstaining because he was not present at the Oct. 8 meeting. The Oct. 15, 2025 work session minutes were approved (Hardee motion; Callahan second) with a 3–0 vote after staff agreed to add clarifying language about a 3-cubic-yard pickup-truck example discussed at the work session.
Administrative scheduling: the regular December meeting is set for Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. and the town holiday party is scheduled for Dec. 11 at 6 p.m.
Public comment included two items: Leslie Watzin asked whether residents would receive notice of Old Wharf Lane sewer-line work; staff confirmed that the town and contractors will send notices and keep affected residents informed. Sue Donaldson asked whether the town had received a response from the QVFD regarding the town's communication about fire-alarm concerns; staff reported no response yet.
Next steps: staff to execute the fund transfer and provide meeting materials and public notices as required; minutes will be updated per the commissioners’ requested clarifying language.
