Boone County board approves $28.48 million FY27 spending plan and wage schedule

Among the largest line items are Secondary Roads ($9,024,600), the Sheriff—s Department ($2,530,440) and the Conservation Board ($944,259). Supervisor Scott Longhorn moved to approve the appropriations; Supervisor Shawn Bryant seconded the motion, and the board voted all ayes. The minutes show the same unanimous vote when the board approved the FY27 employee salary schedule.
The wage schedule published in the minutes lists each supervisor—s annual pay at $45,702 and includes specific salaries for department heads and staff. Examples shown in the minutes include County Attorney Matt Speers at $166,714; Auditor Diane R. Patrick at $84,235; and Secondary Roads personnel (including Jonathan Bullock at $150,075). The published minutes also list hourly rates and part-time pay ranges for numerous positions across county offices.
