Sanbornton commission approves minutes, reviews funds and a potential conservation easement

The Sanbornton Conservation Commission approved the minutes from its Dec. 11, 2025 meeting after a motion by Brad Crosby and a second from Brandon Deacon; the motion passed 5-0-0.
Chair Karen Bordeau presented fund balances that had been prepared by Ray Masse and noted incoming Land Use Change Tax funds associated with the Weeks Road subdivision; members discussed the tax proceeds but no allocation or dollar amounts were specified at the meeting.
Dave Perry provided an informational update on the Trout in the Classroom program, reporting two recently hatched fish at Sant Bani and noting a two-headed trout expected to hatch.
Brad Crosby informed members that property owner Cindy Linberg is seeking to sell a conservation easement on 24 acres on Prescott Road (Map 20, Lot 50). Dave Perry expressed interest in placing the item on the next meeting’s agenda and in visiting the site. Chair Karen Bordeau also reminded the commission that her and Don Noyes’ terms expire in March 2026.
Chair Bordeau adjourned the meeting at 9:20 p.m.; the commission’s next meeting is scheduled for Feb. 12, 2026.
