The board approved purchase and installation of three permanent 15‑inch solar‑powered digital speed radar signs with cameras and messaging, a mobile unit, and cloud traffic-device access.
Mr. Willis presented AV‑Tech LLC Estimates 24150 and 24151, and Mr. Long suggested relocating an existing enforcement unit 20–30 yards to improve detection; moving that unit will require purchasing a pole at an estimated cost of about $1,200. The board discussed a $150,000 budgeted amount for traffic calming, PSGRC criteria for issuing warnings and fines, and a proposal that the homeowners association assume cloud-device fees, offsetting those costs with covenant traffic fine revenues collected by PSGRC.
On motion by Mr. Schultz and seconded by Mr. Blumenthal the board approved the AV‑Tech LLC estimates to wire and install three permanent signs and one mobile unit plus cloud service fees, for a combined total of $105,000. The motion passed with all in favor.
