The Warner Select Board confirmed creation of an Ambulance Committee on April 28 to work with Webster and Hopkinton on cost-sharing and service arrangements for ambulance coverage.
Chair Alfred Hanson said the committee will include Fire Chief John France and Harry Seidel. Resident Clyde Carson, who attended the initial regional meeting, told the board the purpose is to identify a workable three-town agreement, review Warner’s existing contract with Hopkinton and obtain clearer revenue and call-count data; he specifically requested statistics on calls to Pine Rock assisted living.
The board heard that Webster does not currently have an agreement with Hopkinton and that the committee’s early work will be to compare existing terms and consider transparency in revenue calculations. No final agreement was reached at the meeting; the committee will continue discussions and return with recommendations.
The Select Board did not set a date for a final recommendation but indicated the committee would meet regionally and report back to the board.
