The Winchester Budget Committee recommended the school bottom‑line budget of $13,026,669 at its Jan. 6, 2025 meeting, and issued split votes on several school warrant items.
Neal Stetson moved and Jake Blake seconded the committee’s recommendation of the $13,026,669 school budget (default $13,005,473); the motion carried 5-0. Committee members declined to recommend a $1 placeholder for building improvements (motion to not recommend carried 3-0), with Chair Kevin Bazan saying the $1 item was unnecessary simply to keep the line open on the warrant. The committee also recommended $55,000 for Special Education after a divided vote (3-2).
The committee approved minutes from the Dec. 16 meeting and adjourned; the minutes list Monica Truesdell as the minutes taker (T.A. Assistant). The transcript does not record an exact adjournment time.
