Taylor board approves resolution on public fire protection charge ahead of PSC hearing

The Village of Taylor board approved Resolution #022025 authorizing the water utility to direct charge 50% of the Public Fire Protection fee and for the village to pay the remaining 50%, the board said at its March 10 meeting.
Clerk/Treasurer Tammy Weisman introduced the Public Service Commission conventional rate case materials and the required resolution; after discussion, Sheryl Narva moved to accept Resolution #022025, Bob Hulett seconded and a roll-call vote recorded Narva, Justin Beaman, Bob Hulett, Cathy Rose and Joe Kniseley as voting yes. The motion carried.
Weisman also noted that the PSC public hearing on the conventional rate case is scheduled for March 20 at 1 p.m. and described three ways community members may attend, as documented in the board packet.
The approval is an administrative step required for the utility's rate filing and public-notice process; the board did not change other rate elements at the March 10 meeting.
