Randolph County Board elects Rachel Burns president and Ed Daniels vice president; appoints members to county committees

At its July 6 meeting the Randolph County Board of Education unanimously elected Rachel Burns as board president and Ed Daniels as vice president, and approved committee appointments including Peggy Ross to the county opioid advisory board.
Rachel Burns was elected board president and Ed Daniels was elected vice president by unanimous voice votes at the Randolph County Board of Education meeting on July 6. The board recorded both outcomes as 5–0.
The meeting opened nominations for officers. A board member nominated Burns for president; Burns accepted the nomination and the board approved the motion by voice vote. The board then nominated and approved Ed Daniels to serve as vice president.
The board also filled several committee seats. Peggy Ross accepted a county commission recommendation to serve on the Randolph County Opioid Advisory Board and was approved by the board. Members additionally assigned a trustee to the county recreation board and confirmed an appointment to the 4‑H extension service; each of those appointments was approved by voice vote and recorded as passing 5–0.
