Two planning commissioners resign; county to start off-cycle recruitment

Rebecca Everett, community development director, said Natalie Hondalos (recently appointed) and Planning Commissioner Connor Duffy submitted resignations effective this month. Everett said staff will pursue an off-cycle recruitment to restore quorum and will emphasize outreach to unincorporated-area residents in Red Feather, Estes Park and LaPorte to maintain rural representation.
She said staff will return applications to the commissioners for review once candidates apply and that the standard appointment process will follow. The county did not provide candidate names at the work session.
