Bennet council reviews drainage and public-works updates; Clean Up Day set and new hire announced

Utility Superintendent Zach Fergus reported that Ricky Skillett has been hired as Public Works Worker I and began at the end of February. Fergus also told the council that all water and wastewater tests taken were approved by the labs. Staff discussed painting the concrete speed bumps to improve visibility.
Fergus said staff explored options to remove roosting turkey vultures from the water tower and provided an estimated cost of about $300 for removal. The council did not vote on these maintenance items during the meeting; they were presented as operational reports and staff follow-up items.
