Malone board approves minutes, grant applications and contracts; authorizes bill payments

At its May 13 meeting the Town of Malone board approved several minutes, accepted reports, authorized journal entries, approved payment of $137,536.07 in bills, and awarded bids for a perimeter fence (AFSCO) and a pave-access road (Barrett Paving); the board also authorized FY’26 grant applications for both projects.
The Town of Malone board held routine business at its May 13 regular meeting, adopting multiple resolutions that approved minutes and department reports, authorized fund transfers, accepted bids for capital work and authorized payment of the town’s bills.
The board approved prior meeting minutes by Resolutions 125 and 126 (March 25 and April 21). Resolution 127 accepted a package of reports, and by Resolution 128 the board authorized a Shared Services Agreement with Franklin County to be signed by the supervisor and the highway superintendent.
The board authorized three journal entries: a transfer of $1,959.17 from contingency to tax-collection expense (Resolution 130) and two Comptroller-clearinghouse adjustments moved to revenue accounts for $6,203.00 and $9,846.00 (Resolutions 131 and 132) as noted in the March 2026 Comptroller notice.
By Resolution 133 the board authorized payment of Batch No. 1980, voucher nos. 324–373, for multiple funds including General (A) $75,559.60, Highway Outside (DB) $15,885.11, Trust and Agency (T) $42,237.98 and East/West Water funds $1,813.09 each, for a grand total of $137,536.07. Budget Officer Denice Hudson was authorized to pay the bills listed.
The board approved event and project agreements: Resolution 129 authorized the Facilities Use Agreement for the July 2 fireworks show (adopted with four votes in favor and one abstention by Councilor Greg Paye). The board authorized submission of FY'26 grant applications and accepted bids for the Perimeter Fence Phase 2A (Resolution 134 and 135) and the Pave Access Road construction (Resolutions 136 and 137). The Perimeter Fence Phase 2A bid was accepted from AFSCO; the pave-access-road construction bid was accepted from Barrett Paving.
The meeting concluded by setting the next regular board meeting for May 27, 2026, and adjourning by Resolution 138.
