Barb Brueggen, outgoing Library Director, introduced Karen Kling to the Village of Taylor board on Feb. 10, 2025, as the new Library Director. Kling will work 15 hours per week, primarily on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; Brueggen said she will continue to work roughly seven hours per week, primarily on Mondays, to assist with transition tasks.
Brueggen and Kling said they will coordinate spring and summer programming and book purchases; the library's annual report is due to Winding Rivers Library System by Feb. 20, 2025, and the next Library Board meeting will be scheduled before that date so the annual report can be accepted and signed. Brueggen also asked whether the library could hold a book sale in the hallway this spring; board members consented.
Brueggen closed her remarks by thanking the board for support and said she will continue to advocate for the library during the transition.
