Administrator Chad Bybee updated the Board of Aldermen on several operational matters during the March 2 meeting.
Bybee said the bank that holds the loan on the property needed for an easement to extend Mooney Street is requiring appraisals, new plats, a lien release and other items; the city will be responsible for those costs to secure the easement. He also reported that work on the treatment-plant gearbox is progressing and that the city has paid 10% of the cost so far.
Bybee added that public-works employees who hold a water license will attend training in Branson this week, and that the city's new public-works director is signed up for the necessary classes and testing. He also said a hole on Main Street has been packed and will be paved as soon as the paving company is available; the full public-works report is included in the meeting packet for review.
No formal board action was recorded on these items at the March 2 meeting; the minutes indicate staff will proceed with the steps described.
