Resident urges Springfield to explore Community Power Coalition; board prefers opt‑in approach

Board members expressed support for pursuing information and favored an opt‑in model that would let residents choose whether to participate rather than automatically enrolling them. The board noted that Sullivan County plans to implement community power in June 2025, which could provide an opt‑in opportunity for county residents.
The board requested that educational information about community power be provided to Tamara for posting on the town website and indicated a willingness to schedule a CPCNH presentation to inform residents and the board ahead of any decision.
