The Highway Department reported a grader had been sold at auction for $2,550. Poul emphasized the board's reluctance to begin refurbishing equipment given budget pressures.
Recreation Committee updates included planning for Old Home Day next year, a Fall Festival on Oct. 19, and a Holiday Fair and 'Cookies with Santa' on Dec. 7; the committee noted a need for a Santa and will seek a temporary fix for the meetinghouse steps before the Holiday Fair. Jen Roberts asked about processes for submitting payment for life‑safety inspections she has performed for short‑term rentals; staff confirmed the inspection payment is set on the application and discussed payment tracking.
