The Leacock Township Municipal Authority met June 4, 2026, and approved routine minutes, operator reports, bills and treasurer reports during a 40-minute session that began at 4:30 P.M., Secretary/Treasurer Frank Howe said at the outset.
Sewer Operator Bruce Ammon presented the sewer report and listed recent operations and maintenance actions: a permit application was sent, preventive-maintenance checks were completed on all generators, a new block heater was installed at the BIH pump station, Nolt’s hauled 96,000 gallons of sludge, and "the plant [is] operating well." The board approved the report on a motion by Willis Zimmerman, seconded by Jerry Reeser; the vote was unanimous.
Mr. Houser provided the water plant report, which the board approved on a motion by Mr. Zimmerman seconded by Nicholas Detore. In that report, Mr. Houser said the school service line contains fire hydrants that are not standard and will need to be repaired; he advised that the local fire company should contact the school because the school owns the line.
The authority approved the May 7, 2026 meeting minutes on a motion by Jerry Reeser, seconded by Willis Zimmerman, and then voted unanimously to approve both the sewer and water "Bills to Pay" lists after motions by Reeser with seconds from Zimmerman. The board also approved the sewer and water treasurer's reports (motions and seconds recorded in the minutes) by unanimous vote.
Members reviewed fund balances and certificates of deposit; the minutes record that the balances were reviewed but do not list amounts. With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:10 P.M.
Next steps: the water issue flagged for the school line—nonstandard hydrants requiring repair—was noted for follow-up by the fire company and school; the minutes record no further assignments or dates for action.
