Tomahawk Common Council approves routine payments, appoints election inspector and adopts Downtown BID 2026 plan

The Tomahawk Common Council took several routine actions Dec. 9, approving minutes from its Nov. 11 meeting, authorizing payments and payroll, confirming operator licenses, adopting a resolution to appoint an election inspector for 2026–2027, and approving the 2026 operating plan for the Tomahawk Downtown Business Improvement District. All recorded motions passed unanimously.
Mickey Loka moved, and Will Garske seconded, to approve General Fund checks 118296–118505 and 14 electronic payments totaling $266,330.19, and payroll checks 53472–53478 with direct deposits V15265–V15348 totaling $111,067.50. The Council recorded the vote as unanimous.
Will Garske moved to approve the minutes from Nov. 11, 2025; Dale Ernst seconded and the vote was unanimous. Garske also moved to adopt a resolution appointing an election inspector for the 2026–2027 term; Ernst seconded and the resolution was adopted unanimously. Will Garske moved to approve operator licenses; Mike Loka seconded and the vote was unanimous.
Paticia Haskin moved to approve the Operating Plan for the Tomahawk Downtown Business Improvement District for 2026; Mickey Loka seconded and the motion passed without recorded dissent. The Council set its next regular meeting for Jan. 6, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., and adjourned at 5:42 p.m.
