The Town Council continued its review of the employee handbook during a workshop on Jan. 7, 2026, which opened at 4:00 p.m. and ran until 5:35 p.m. President Newnam presided; Council members Brian Schmidt, Michael Sullivan and Walter Chase were recorded as present along with Town Administrator Erin Braband and Superintendent Shawn Lane.
Council members discussed possible changes to the employee handbook but did not adopt any specific policy changes at the session. The council set a follow-up workshop to continue work on the handbook for Feb. 4, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., and directed staff to place the item on that meeting's agenda.
At 5:35 p.m. President Newnam moved to close the workshop. Council member Michael Sullivan seconded the motion and the workshop was closed by a unanimous vote of the members present.
Town Administrator Erin Braband signed the record of the workshop.
