Town of Townsend accepts assessor's June timeframe for Board of Review; meeting adjourns

Town of Townsend Chairperson Monica Zeller read an email from Assessor Jef Muellver at the Board of Review meet-and-adjourn session on May 12, 2026, saying there are "no unusual delays this year, but high volume of construction activity and late spring and April rains have impacted the completion of the rolls." Zeller said the assessor will contact the clerk soon to schedule the Board of Review sometime in June.
Clerk Linda Ziegler verified that the agenda was properly posted on May 1, 2026 at the Townsend Post Office, Townsend Town Hall, the Townsend branch of Laona State Bank, and on the town website, townsendwisconsin.org.
Supervisor Willie Evans moved to accept the assessor's proposed June timeframe for scheduling the Board of Review; Supervisor Chuck DeMoulin seconded. The motion was adopted. The board did not set a specific Board of Review date at the meeting; Zeller said the assessor will coordinate with the clerk to finalize scheduling.
