At its May 20 meeting the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners issued several proclamations and recognitions. Commissioners declared May 2026 as Problem Solving Court Month, recognizing the 13th Judicial Circuit’s suite of problem‑solving courts and the contributions of judges, prosecutors, treatment providers, case managers, law enforcement, mentors and community partners to participant recovery.
The board also declared May 2026 as Asian Pacific American Heritage Month to honor the contributions of Asian and Pacific Islander residents in government, business, arts and sciences, medicine, education and law enforcement.
Separately, the board declared May 17 through May 23 as Emergency Medical Services Week and noted the role of EMS in improving survival and recovery from sudden illness or injury.
