Potts described underdrain installation around the pool and patio, the addition of a sump/effluent pump and connections to existing 2‑inch and 6‑inch storm lines that discharge to Lake Ontario. He said the site has experienced flooding at the garage and house and that the work is time sensitive.
Commissioners pressed for confirmation that drainage would be contained on site, that no increase in impervious area was proposed, and for clarity about the age and condition of existing sump pumps and pipes. Staff and members discussed federal/state wetland mapping and the town’s conservation overlay; staff advised leveraging state/federal wetland data rather than reinventing local mapping rules.
After questions were resolved, a motion for a Type 2 negative determination and issuance of the conservation permit for the drainage work passed by roll call. Staff will record permit conditions and closure of outstanding technical items.
