Northern Archers secures 501(c)(3) status; offers trails and youth programs on town land

Don Solberg told the board Northern Archers has formalized as a 501(c)(3), thanked the town for use of roughly 30 acres on Village View and described the club's facilities and youth programming.
Solberg said most of the parcel has been logged and the club maintains over a mile of trail with 28 three-dimensional targets, two crossbow targets and elevated stands. The club has run four hunter-safety classes and holds youth archery programs at St. John's. Solberg said Northern Archers will do fundraising to maintain the grounds and plans to erect a larger shed for target storage; he also said the club will offer the property for snow-shoeing in winter.
There was no formal town vote recorded on land use or a lease at the Oct. 14 meeting; the remarks were presented as a report and thank-you to the board.
