Residents request speed study as board sets snow-plow guidelines and winter parking rules

Chairperson Monica Zeller said she will investigate DOT options and signage.
The board and Highway Supervisor Bob Habeck presented snow-plowing guidelines intended for part-time drivers that prioritize key areas, set timing of removal, and cover equipment and safety protocols. The board also set winter parking rules to go into effect Nov. 1, 2025, through April 1, 2026, prohibiting parking on town roads from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The town also confirmed Halloween trick-or-treat hours for Oct. 31 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
No binding decision on Valley View speed limits was made at the Oct. 14 meeting; Zeller said the board will investigate DOT study and signage options.
