Commission flags dumping, signage and consulting rates; agrees to follow up

"Let's kinda wait until spring to go look at that," said Ray LeMay, noting snow likely covers the site and inspection is easier in thawed conditions. Members asked staff to gather the encroachment report requested by an outside reviewer for Collins Ledge and forward it to the reviewer.
Separately, commissioners discussed a five‑year forestry services agreement with a vendor (Meadows End) and noted the contractor is seeking a rate increase. Members said any adjustment to a multi‑year contract must be agreed by both the conservation commission and the board of selectmen and deferred a decision until the servicing forester can present the rationale.
The commission instructed staff to follow up on the DES request for town‑forest carbon information if it appears to be a short survey rather than a substantive reporting burden and to ask Jeremy (the forester) to advise whether pursuing the DES request is worthwhile.
