City Engineer Nick Guilliams updated the Mahtomedi City Council on June 16, saying the Mahtomedi Avenue design has been adjusted in minor ways after resident feedback and one-on-one meetings with 42 households.
Guilliams said utility companies will begin relocating equipment this summer as part of pre-construction activity, but that some pieces of equipment will have to be relocated during construction because of where they are currently placed. He described the design changes as "minor" and framed them as responsive to direct resident input.
City Administrator Scott Neilson noted the design process is ongoing; the minutes record that the design committee will continue to review options and that the council will see the committee's proposed final design when it is available. No construction schedule or final design was approved at the June 16 meeting.
