"Now is the time for you to check your voter status to make sure you are election ready," Davis said, advising voters to consider whether their name, address or signature has changed or whether they want to change their political party.
Davis gave step-by-step contact options for voters who need to make updates: visit martinvotes.gov, call (772) 288-5637, or visit the Elections Office at 135 SE Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard in Stuart. She said the office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to assist voters.
The announcement focused on practical steps rather than changes to election rules. Voters who have changed their name or address, need to update their signature or wish to switch party affiliation were told to update their voter record with the Elections Office ahead of election day to avoid problems at the polls.
