Martin County elections supervisor outlines three ways to vote and key deadlines

Vicki Davis, Martin County Supervisor of Elections, told voters the county offers three ways to cast a ballot — vote by mail, early voting and voting on election day — and provided deadlines, site counts and contact information.
Davis said vote-by-mail is available and described the mailing schedule: “Ballots are mailed to military and overseas voters 45 days before an election and 40 days before election day to in-state and out-of-state voters.” She said that voting by mail is “a convenient way to vote from your home.”
Early voting is the second option. Davis said there will be three early-voting locations for the primary election and six sites for the general election. Voters can find early-voting schedules and locations at martinvotes.gov or by calling the office at (772) 288-5637.
The third option is voting in person on election day. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and voters must cast ballots at their assigned polling place. Davis urged residents to confirm their polling precinct online or by phone before election day.
“No matter which way you choose to vote, your vote counts,” Davis said, closing her remarks with a final encouragement: “See you at the polls.”
