The assistant superintendent said Title I funding rose modestly while Title II fell by about $25,000, leaving a net drop of roughly $5,000–$6,000 in the district’s preliminary Title allocations compared with the current year. She explained that Title allocations use census and school poverty data to direct more funds to higher‑need schools and that the district will include descriptions under each Title line to clarify proposed spending before grant submission.
Board members and administrators discussed how the district applies ranking/distribution rules so higher‑need schools receive more Title funds and confirmed that other federal grants exist beyond the five Titles presented. The public comment period will remain open until early June to allow residents to review posted documents and ask clarifying questions before the district finalizes grant applications.
