Midway council receives county health annual report; local groups update council on preservation and TAP-funded trail work

The Midway City Council received summaries from the Wasatch County Health Department, the Historic Preservation Committee and Friends of Wasatch at its June 2 meeting.
Jonelle Fitzgerald, Wasatch County Health Department Health Officer, delivered the department's 2025 annual report covering mission and vision, program and services, the CARES program, Medical Reserve Corps volunteer activity, fall-prevention efforts, upcoming flu clinics, budget statistics and community input.
Melissa Jones, representing the Historic Preservation Committee, told the council the committee is engaged on projects including historic building markers, oral-history collection, a YouTube channel and a walking-tour brochure. Laura Bohn of Friends of Wasatch said TAP grant funds purchased picnic tables and benches and that restoration of the Huber Grove Trail is planned.
