Shell Lake council approves airport petition, event alcohol permits and two mobile-home-park licenses

At its Oct. 14 meeting, the Shell Lake City Council unanimously approved a municipal airport petition, seven Temporary Class B licenses for the Shell Lake Arts Center and a Wine Walk permit for the Shell Lake Chamber, and mobile home park licenses for Boland's and Dougard's parks; vouchers 1183–1322 were also approved.
The Shell Lake City Council voted unanimously on several administrative items at its Oct. 14, 2024 meeting, approving a municipal airport petition, event alcohol permits and two mobile-home-park licenses.
Stephen Smith moved and Terry Severson seconded approval of vouchers numbered 1183–1322; the council carried the motion unanimously. Smith then moved and Severson seconded a package of seven Temporary Class B Retailers Licenses for the Shell Lake Arts Center covering scheduled events in late 2024 and throughout 2025; the council approved those licenses unanimously. Smith also moved, seconded by Severson, to approve a Temporary Class B Retailers License for the Shell Lake Chamber of Commerce for its Nov. 22, 2024 Wine Walk; that motion likewise passed unanimously.
In new business, City Administrator/Clerk/Treasurer Andy Eiche explained the need for the council to approve a municipal airport petition for the Shell Lake Municipal Airport. Stephen Smith moved, seconded by Mike Andrews, to approve the petition as presented; the council approved it by unanimous vote.
Smith moved, seconded by Severson, to approve Mobile Home Park Licenses for Boland's Mobile Home Park and Dougard's Mobile Home Park; the motion carried unanimously. Councilmember Rob Anderson asked the General Administration committee to review and consider edits to the mobile-home-park application process for future use.
The meeting adjourned at 8:26 p.m., after Rob Anderson moved and Severson seconded the adjournment. The meeting record was signed by Andrew Eiche, City Administrator/Clerk/Treasurer.
