Shawano School District board approves agenda, moves to closed session on personnel and accepts resignations

The Shawano School District Board of Education met in a special session on Dec. 8, 2025, calling the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and verifying a quorum.
Board member Christine McKinnies moved to approve the meeting agenda; Board member Karen Houston seconded. The motion carried 8-0, with Jeana Winslow, Mike Musolff, Karen Houston, Alfred Pyatskowit, John Arens, Frank Kugel, Christine McKinnies and Tim Renard recorded as voting in favor.
The board then voted to adjourn to a closed session under Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(c) "considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee" to discuss personnel matters. Alfred Pyatskowit moved the adjournment; Frank Kugel seconded. The motion carried 8-0, and the board adjourned to closed session at 6:01 p.m.
The board reconvened into open session at 6:15 p.m. During open session the board considered Resignations/Retirements/Appointments. Board member Christine McKinnies moved to accept the item as presented; Board member Bobbi Lemerond seconded. The board voted 9-0 to accept the resignations/retirements/appointments.
Board member Karen Houston moved to adjourn the meeting; Christine McKinnies seconded. The motion carried 9-0 and the meeting adjourned at 6:16 p.m.
The minutes record Alfred Pyatskowit as Board Clerk on the document. The meeting took place in the Community Room at the district office, 1310 S. Union St., Shawano.
