Shawano board approves 2025–26 preliminary budget, CESA 8 contract and 66.03 shared services agreement

The Shawano School District Board on June 18 approved its 2025–26 preliminary budget, a CESA 8 services contract and a 66.03 shared‑services agreement with a neighboring district.

Bryan Kadlec presented the preliminary budget for funds 10 and 27, projecting 1% growth and recommending approval while noting revenue figures were withheld pending the state budget and final student counts. "Revenue information is not being presented as we are waiting for the state budget and the student count," Kadlec said while introducing the plan. Mrs. Jeana Winslow moved to approve the preliminary budget and Mrs. Bobbi Lemerond seconded; the roll call was unanimous in favor.

Kadlec also reviewed a 2025–26 services agreement with CESA 8 for $316,014.61. Frank Kugel moved to approve the CESA 8 contract; Mrs. Christine McKinnies seconded. The motion carried on a unanimous roll call vote.

On a separate item, the board approved a 66.03 shared‑services agreement with Beecher‑Dunbar‑Pembine School District under which Shawano will provide 10% of business‑manager services and receive the related revenue. Mrs. Bobbi Lemerond moved to approve the agreement and Mrs. Karen Houston seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
