The Village of Slinger Police Commission re-elected Ken Leeson as chair and elected Rob Schmid as vice chair at a meeting Tuesday afternoon.
John Dukelow nominated Leeson for chair; Rob Schmid moved to elect Leeson and Dukelow seconded the motion. The commission approved the election by a 4-0 vote. Dukelow then nominated Schmid for vice chair; Dukelow moved to elect Schmid and Craig Wolf seconded. That motion also passed 4-0.
The votes were recorded during the New Business portion of the April 8 meeting at 300 Slinger Road, Slinger. The reorganization came before a scheduled review of the department’s 2024 annual report and a discussion about hiring procedures.
The commission’s roster recorded in the minutes includes Chair Ken Leeson; Vice‑Chair Rob Schmid; Ken Vlasak; John Dukelow; and Craig Wolf. Also present were Village Administrator Margaret Wilber and members of the police leadership team: Chief Kyle Arendt, Capt. Josh Gullickson and Lt. Nick Garro.
The commission adjourned at 3:07 p.m. after completing the listed agenda items.
